Patricia H. Patterson, age 83, of Brule, NE, passed away, Sunday, March 14, 2021 at her home in Brule.
Patricia was born September 22, 1937 to Dave and Irene Harol (Bruce) McGinnis in Kearney, NE.
Patricia moved to Brule as a young child with her parents and attended Brule schools, graduating from Brule High School in 1956. While she was in high school she was a class officer her junior and senior years. She attended college at Tacoma Tech College in Tacoma, WA. She worked for Sub Base Banger in Banger, WA for 3 years. She then went to work for Gig Harbor High School as the head custodian in Gig Harbor, WA for 15 years.
She met Robert McPeak and they were married. They later divorced.
On May 7, 1963 she was united in marriage to Charles Patterson in Oakland, CA. They made their home in Bremerton, WA working various jobs.
In 1995 they moved and made their home in Brule. Patricia worked for the Holiday Inn, Best Western and the Ogallala Community Hospital in housekeeping. In later years she retired.
Patricia's hobbies included; decorating, flower arrangements, painting, knitting, playing pool and darts.
She will be dearly missed by all who know her.
Patricia is survived by her son; Gerry Patterson, of Brule; her granddaughters; Charlea Patterson, of Ogallala; Britteney Baker, of York, NE; her grandson; Ryan (Bobbi) Hopper, of Port Orchard, WA; her great-grandchildren; Robert "Caden" Wickam, Adaline Condon, Mia Hopper, Faith and Justice Baker; and goddaughter, Leah McGinnis, of Ogallala.
She was preceded in death by; her husband, Charles; her brothers, Darrell and Billy McGinnis; her sons, Jerry Patterson and David McPeak; and a daughter, Roberta Patterson.
A Visitation will be held, Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. in the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 19, 2021 in the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jon Dickmander of the St. John's Lutheran Church of Brule officiating.
Interment will be held at the Brule Cemetery in Brule, NE.
