Marion R Brott

Marion Rosealie Brott, 91, of Ogallala, passed away on  May 17, 2020 at Linden Court in North Platte, NE.

Marion Rosealie Brott was born April 28, 1929 in Omaha NE, the daughter of William and Rose M (Stuehm) Turtscher. She received her early education at School District #15 near Roscoe Ne. She graduated from Ogallala High School with the class of 1946

Marion worked for Searle Auto Dealership until late 1949, when she was united in marriage to John Brott on December 4, 1949 at St John's Lutheran Church southeast of Ogallala. The couple resided northeast of Roscoe NE where they farmed for 43 years before moving to Ogallala in 1992.

Marion was a member of St John's Lutheran Church and the Dorcas Aid. She belonged to the M&M Extension Club and helped with the 4-H Club. Marion was active in RSVP and enjoyed doing volunteer work.Her hobbies included baking, embroidery, fishing and gardening.

Marion was preceded in death by husband John, (September 2015); her parents; and son-in-law Tom Bowlin.

She is survived by 5 children, three daughters, Darlene (Clete) Petrzilka, Louisville NE; Diane Bowlin, Bennet NE; and Lisa (John) Flynn Sutherland NE; two sons, Kenneth (Friend Nel Martin) Brott, Ogallala NE; and William (Grace) Brott, Paxton NE. Grandchildren, Julie (Todd) Donnelly, Brad Zaloudek (Friend Trisha Feyerherm ), all of Louisville NE; Jerrold (Melissa) Brott, Elkhorn NE; Eric (Megan) Brott, Hickman NE; Ryan (Ashley) Brott, Omaha NE; Tammy Bowlin, Loveland CO; Joe Bowlin, Lincoln NE; Tristan (Brooklyn) Brott, North Platte NE; Cora Brott, Sarah Brott, both of Paxton NE; Tell Flynn, True Flynn, both of Sutherland NE. 10 Great Grandchildren,  Madison and Landon Donnelly,  Dylan, Delaney, Allyson, Taylor, Gatlin, Olivia, and Vaida Brott.  Annibel Zaloudek.

Visitation will be Wednesday May 20th from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Draucker Funeral Home.  Due to the recent health concerns we will be following the mandated 10 people maximum rule.

Private family funeral will be Thursday, May 21, 2020 at St.John's Lutheran Church with Private family burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Rev. Ben Francisco officiating.  Anyone wanting to watch the funeral we will be streaming the service at 10:00 am.  The service will also be posted on the web site for later viewing.
