Deanna Martha Van Cura, 75, of Ogallala, died October 31, 2022 at the Regional West Garden County Nursing Home in Oshkosh, NE.
She was born on July 19, 1947 to Ralph and Martha (Witkowski) Casey, Sr. at Omaha, NE. She attended school in Omaha until 1954 when they moved to Ogallala and attended St. Luke's Catholic School then graduated from Ogallala High School in 1965. On August 12, 1969 she married Delmar Van Cura in Oshkosh, NE. Deanna and Delmar made their home in Ogallala, Nebraska. Deanna was Self Employed working as a house keeper for 20 years. Deanna then went to work for super 8 as a supervisor. She retired in 2012.
Deanna really enjoyed shopping with her family. In the summertime, she enjoyed camping with Delmar and traveling and going gambling and playing slot machines. Family was the most important thing to her and we love her so very much.
She was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church of Ogallala.
Deanna is survived by her husband, Delmar; two daughters, Leanne (Michael) Heble and Lori Ann (James Jensen) Watts; sister, Jayne Brown: Brother, Ralph G. (Charlotte) Casey, Jr.; Grandchildren Ashley (Nori) Kinoshita , Amanda Barmore, Savahanna (Kaleb) Buckler, Jeffrey (Brooke)Thomas, Justin Thomas, Anna Watts, Jonathan Van Cura, and six other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Raymond Maben and father Ralph George Casey, Sr.; one sister Cheryl Terry; and brother-in-law Lionel "Pete" Brown.
Visitation will be held at Draucker Funeral Home, Thursday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm..
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Bryan Ernest, of St. Luke's Catholic Church officiating.
Interment will be in the Ogallala Cemetery.
Services will be live streamed and will be posted to the website after the service.

A memorial has been established in her name for later designation.
Draucker Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
