Amber Kay Brown

Amber Kay Brown, age 39, of Ogallala, died Sunday, September 4th, 2022 at the Perkins County Hospital in Grant, NE.
Amber was born September 23, 1982 in Ogallala, NE to Pete and Susan (Sauer) Brown.  She attended Ogallala Public Schools and graduated from Ogallala High School in 2001. 
She loved her dogs and her family. Amber worked in various food service jobs in the Ogallala area. She was recently employed at A&W Restaurant in Ogallala.

Amber was preceded in death by her father Lionel "Pete" Brown, son Cooper Brown-Shireman, grandfather and grandmother William and Rosemary Sauer, and grandmother Lorena Brown.

Amber is survived by her two children, Colton Pouk (age 18) of Keaney, NE and Nicolette Reyna (age 20) of Omaha, NE.  Her  mother and father Susan (Karl) Lake of Grant, NE; Step mother Jayne Brown of Ogallala, NE; her sister Erica Brown of Crete, NE; two brothers Nicholas (Tonya) Brown of Ogallala, NE and Taylor (Natasha) Lake of Lincoln, NE. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Amber enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her animals; as well as spoiling her nieces and nephews. Regardless of the circumstances she faced, she always carried a smile and was willing to help anyone in need. She will be deeply missed by many!

Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m.  Friday, September 23, 2022 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala with Deacon Dickson Powers officiating. Inurnment will be in the Ogallala Cemetery.  A memorial gathering will be Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Boy Scout Cabin (305 West 10th Street) in Ogallala from 11:00 am to 3:00 p.m. with Father Bryan Ernest speaking at 11:30 a.m.
