Wilda Kay Tressler

Wilda Kay Tressler, 76, of Ogallala, NE, died on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala, NE.

Wilda Kay was born in Ogallala, NE on January 12, 1948, to Walter and Genevieve (Dierks) Tressler. She was raised on the family farm and attended Ogallala public schools graduating in 1966, she then went on to Kearney State College in Kearney, NE.

She lived on the East Coast in New York and Baltimore for several years, she returned to Ogallala where she worked various jobs including at Pamida until it closed, then worked for Shop-Ko until she retired.

Wilda was dedicated lifetime member to her church and loved her church family, she also was a member of the Ogallala Regional Arts Council and a member of the Red Hat society, in her spare time she was known to be an avid reader.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Walter Jr.; and sister Anna Herbel.

She is survived by her church family at the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Ogallala.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Ogallala, with Rev. Lisa Hadler officiating.

Inurnment will be on January 21, 2025, in the Ogallala Cemetery in Ogallala, Nebraska.
