Wayne Lee Sloan

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Wayne Lee Sloan, who departed this life on February 14, 2025 at the age of 63. He passed away peacefully in his home located in Ogallala, NE. He lives behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those he cherished.

Born on March 7, 1961 in Denver, CO, Wayne was a man of great strength and gentle compassion. He dedicated his life to his family, offering guidance, love, and endless support. His presence was a source of comfort, and his laughter filled our heart with joy. As a father, he led with patience and wisdom; as a grandfather, he shared stories and lessons that will be passed down for generations. As a brother and uncle, he was a pillar of strength, always ready with a helping hand and warm embrace.

Wayne found joy in his profession of carpentry and his dedication to his family. His kindness, generosity, and integrity will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He has survived by his children, Derek Ballew of Castle Rock, CO and Krystal Miller of Thornton, CO, his grandchildren Haley, Payton, Brody, Nixon, Naomi, and Oaklee, and his sisters Brenda McIntosh, and Burnie Labriola who will honor his memory by carrying forward his love and wisdom. Though our hearts are heavy with grief we find solace in knowing that he is at peace and that his spirit will live on in the love he gave, and the lives he touched.

A service to celebrate Wayne‘s life will be held at a later time. At that time, family and friends are invited together to share memories and honor a life well lived.

Rest in peace, dear Wayne. You will be forever loved and deeply missed by many.
