Twila Mae Kramer, 89, of Arthur, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, in the Ogallala Community Hospital. Twila was born June 13, 1926 in Grand Island, the daughter of Edwin and Violet (Grigsby) Hiner. She attended schools in Arthur, graduating from Arthur High School in 1944. On June 4, 1944, Twila was united in marriage to Jack E. Kramer. The couple made their home on the Jerry Kramer Ranch in northeast Arthur County. They went into a partnership with the Lute Ranches. Jack passed away in 1977. Twila then moved into Arthur and in 2000 became partners with her son Chet in the Ski Patrol business. She was a member of Arthur Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Twila was an art teacher at Arthur County High School and served on the Halsey Art Guild for numerous years. She was an exhibitor in the Nebraskaland Art Show and was one of the founders of the Arthur Paintin' Place. Twila enjoyed going to Bullhead City, Ariz. for the winters. Preceding her in death was her husband, sons Norman and Terry, and three brothers: Kenneth, Charles, and Keith Hiner. Survivors include her children: Scott L. Kramer of Arthur, Chet Kramer of Lemoyne (special friend Danelle Drews), and Joy (Allen) Swanson of Arthur. Daughter in law Lexie (Robert) Cone Ogallala, Her special friend Byron Daly of Stapleton. Grandsons: Mark (Tammie) Swanson of Arthur and Reed (Mikki) Kramer of Oshkosh. Granddaughters: Marti (Troy) Brockmeier of Kearney, Robyn (Scott) Neal of North Platte, Tara Ramnath of Denver, Colo., Tandi (Scott) Porter of Cambridge, Jamie (Shane) Gorwill of Hyannis, Heather (Wade) Kramer of Hyannis, and Jalen Kramer of Denver, Colo. Also 21 great-grandchildren. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, September 19, at 2 p.m. in the Arthur Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Keene officiating. The Service will be streamed live from drauckerfuneralhome.com for those unable to attend. The casket will be open for a brief visitation time following the Service. Interment is in the Arthur Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Arthur Community Building Fund. Online Condolences may be shared by signing the Guest Book.
