Terry Cerny Obituary Terry L. Cerny, 69, of Arthur, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at his sons home in Greeley, Colorado. Terry was born on November 19, 1948 to Ernest 'Ernie' and Bonna (Johnson) Cerny, in Arthur. Terry graduated from Arthur High School in 1966. He attended college at the Grand Island School of Business, where he earned an accounting degreer. After Terry graduated college, he worked in construction and roofing in Grand Island until 1978. He moved to Colorado that same year, and worked at the Coors Brewery in Golden, CO; and the Purina Factory in Commerce City, CO. During that time he was a driver for Hostess. He also delivered newspapers for the Denver Post. Terry moved back to Arthur in 1992 to help care for his father, Ernie, and started Cerny Construction with his brother 'Red', retiring in 2017 to spend more time with his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Steve; and 1 brother, Kenneth. Terry is survived by 3 sons; Grant Wade of Greeley, Colorado; Mark (Meredith) Cerny of San Saba, Texas; Jason (Jodi) Cerny of Grand Island; 1 daughter, Janelle Cerny of Loveland, Colorado; 3 brothers, Rex 'Red' (Carolyn) Cerny of Arthur; Ray Gene (Debi) Cerny of Arthur; Joe (Janet) Cerny of Oklahoma City; and 6 grandchildren; Haley Wade, Tyler Wade, Daniel Cerny, Brynn Cerny, Isaac Cerny, and Joselyn Cerny. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, 3:00 pm at the Arthur Cemetery, with Dave Sizer officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Arthur Betterment Authority.
