Susan Lake Obituary Susan Lake, 63, of Grant, Nebraska, died June 1, 2023 after a long battle with on going health issues at CHI Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Susan was born on October 17, 1959 to William and Rosemary (Maiefski) Sauer in Ogallala. Susan graduating from Ogallala High School in 1979, she went on to marry Lionel Brown and they welcomed three children. Nicholas, Erica and Amber Brown. On September 3, 1988 she married Karl Lake in Ogallala, NE, where they welcomed a son, Taylor Lake. Due to health issues, Susan retired and spent her time camping, gardening, spending time with friends and cherishing time with her beloved family, children and grandchildren. Her phone calls and presence will forever be missed. Susan was preceded in death by her Parents, Daughter Amber Brown in 2022, brother Eric in 2023 and grandson Cooper Brown in 2014 She is survived by Husband Karl of Grant, daughter Erica Brown of Crete, NE, sons Nicholas (Tonya) Brown of Ogallala, Taylor (Natasha) Lake of Lincoln, NE. One brother Rob (Judy) Sauer , 2 sisters Julie (Bill) Christensen, Cheryl Carter all of Ogallala, and 9 Grandchildren Visitation will be Tuesday, June 6, 2023 9am - 6pm at the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel. Rosary Wednesday, June 7th at 10:00 with Funeral Services following at 10:30 am from St Luke's Catholic Church with Father Bryan Ernest officiating In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Lukes catholic church in Ogallala. Cremation will follow services with no interment scheduled at this time.
