Steven Infante, 59, of Ogallala, died in his home on November 18, 2017. Steven was born June 4, 1958 in Ogallala, the son of Joe and Maria (Rodriguez) Infante. He attended Brule schools. He began working in construction with his father building houses. In 1981 he became employed with Ness Construction and worked there 25 years. On August 9, 1983 Steven was united in marriage to Nancy Washa. The couple made their home in Ogallala. Steven went to work for The Industrial Company building ethanol plants. In 2006 he relocated to Nevada and was employed with an industrial construction company. In May of 2011, however, he suffered a severe stroke and retired. The couple returned to Ogallala in 2011. He loved hunting, fishing, and going to his grandson's sporting events. Preceding him in death were his father Joe Infante and his father-in-law Tony Washa. Survivors include his wife Nancy of Ogallala, his mother Clelia Infante of Brule, son Ryan (Tiffany) Washa of Stevensville, Maryland; daughter Angie Mayer of Ogallala; brother Joe Infante (special friend Carol Grafel) of North Platte; and sister Becky (Rodney) Frickey of Brule; and one grandson Dominic Mayer of Ogallala; mother-in-law Judy Washa of Mitchell; two sisters-in-law Sandy Macke (special friend Greg Gion) and her son Silas of Scottsbluff and Laurie (Marc) Fagullar of Ogallala and several nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen. The Memorial Service will be Wednesday, November 29, at 10 a.m., in the Draucker Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Baldwin of Paxton United Methodist Church will officiate. A memorial has been established to the American Stroke Association. Online Condolences may be sent signing the Guest Book. The Service will be live streamed for those unable to attend.
