Steve Dorris, 62, of Grand Island and formerly of Arthur, died Thursday, September 15, 2016, in the Nebraska Veterans Home. Survivors include his father Wilton (wife Ramona) Dorris and two brothers: William Dorris and Michael Dorris, all of Lemoyne; two sons: Jesse Steven Dorris and Preston Dorris; and other relatives. The family chose cremation. The Memorial Service will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 11 a.m. in the Martin Bay Community Church, north of Lake McConaughy. Pastors Bill Forbes and Duane Dunwoody will officiate. Online condolences may be submitted by signing the Guest Book. The Service will be live streamed for those unable to attend. A memorial has been established in his name. The inurnment will follow in the Arthur Cemetery with military honors. Draucker Funeral Home of Ogallala is in charge of arrangements.
