Shirley Sherich Obituary Shirley A Sherich, 83 of Ogallala passed away Friday, December 31, 2021, in Northern Colorado Medical Center at Greeley, Colorado. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday May 27th, 2022, in New Hope Church, with Rev. Matt Waitley officiating. Shirley was born on July 8, 1938, at Monroe, to James L. Green and Lillie C. (Kizer) Green. In 1954, she started work at Goodall Manufacturing, which became TRW and later American Shizuki. She retired after 48 years of service in 2002. In 1956, she met Richard Dean Sherich and they were united in marriage on July 5, 1957, at Scottsbluff. Shirley enjoyed spending time with family and friends, dancing, reading, Bible study and volunteering at her church. She passionately loved her granddaughter and great grandchildren. Shirley is survived by her son, Kelly (Teri) Sherich, of Ogallala; a granddaughter, Kelsey (Nick) Rivers; two great-granddaughters, Mila and Rosalind Rivers; and special friends, Preston and Alex Tuttle. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Richard D. Sherich; her parents, James and Lillian (Kizer) Green; three brother, Bill, Jack and Jim Green; and three sisters, June (Adams), Genny (Smith) and Dove (Nass). The memorial service will be livestreamed at www.newhopetogether.com. A memorial fund has been established to the Ogallala Volunteer Fire Department and New Hope church in her memory.
