Shelley Kay Olson, 51, of Brule, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015, in Bryan Memorial West of Lincoln, Nebr. Shelley was born August 24, 1963, in Norton, Kan., the daughter of Larry, Sr. and Fay(Wright) Gallentine. She attended Ogallala Public Schools. She was employed in several jobs in Ogallala. On November 23, 1979 Shelley was united in marriage to Lowell Olson. The couple made their home in Brule where they raised their children. Shelley was an avid reader and she enjoyed going to the Lake. Preceding her in death were her grandparents. Survivors include her husband Lowell Olson and her son Jermey J. Olson and special friend Crystal Lehl, all of Brule; her daughter Michele (Ryan) Wolf of Omaha; her parents Larry, Sr. and Fay Gallentine of Ogallala; a sister Teresa (Terry) Laflan of Ogallala; two brothers: Larry, Jr. (Brenda) Gallentine of Big Springs and Robbie (Janet) Gallentine of Ogallala and four grandchildren: Haylee Wolf, Landon Wolf, Kelsey (Zach) Eeckhout, and Kiana Scheele. Also two great-grandchildren: Eli Fay and Keaton Eeckhout. A pot luck lunch and Gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, June 23, from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Brule Community Hall.
