Sandra Karleen Kelley

Sandy K. Kelley age 79, lifetime Ogallala resident passed Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the Ogallala Community Hospital. Sandy, was born October 10, 1946 in Ogallala, NE. to James & Phyllis (Sullivan) Bush. Sandy graduated from Ogallala High School in 1964 and then went on to Kearney State College to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Education. She was on the dean’s list and honor Roll. Sandy then went on to University of Northern Colorado where she received her master’s degree. Sandy, married Omer Kelley in Ogallala in 1975. He was the love of her life. In 1986 they moved to Phoenix, AZ where Sandy taught school. She and Omer retired and returned to Ogallala. Sandy enjoyed arts and crafts, scraping booking and animals. Her dog, Daisy and the donkey, Wally, with many of her cats. Sandy was confirmed on September 23, 1956 in the United Church of Christ First Congregational with Mrs. L.M. Lovenburg as her teacher.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 14, 2026 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel Ogallala. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. in the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel at Ogallala with the Rev. Lisa Hadler officiating. Interment will be in the Ogallala Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Perkins County Animal Shelter (68 South Central Ave, Grant, NE 69140)
