Ruth L. Greene, of Ogallala, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in the Ogallala Community Hospital. Ruth grew up in Denver, CO and graduated from West High School in 1955 with honors. She played the cello and was involved in many school activities. She enjoyed spending summers in Akron, CO with her grandparents on their farm. She met Carroll E. Greene in 1962 at a Ballroom Dance Academy in Denver. They were married on October 12, 1962. Ruth was a kid at heart. She loved to play practical jokes and loved being a hostess serving at various restaurants. And if anyone loved clothes and music, it was Ruth. Preceding her in death was her mother Ruth I. Benson and her father George L. Goble. She leaves behind her husband Carroll Greene of Ogallala, her daughter Lori Pursley and two grandsons, all of Westminster, CO.
