Rose Anderson Obituary Rose Marie Anderson 81, of Ogallala passed away on Saturday March 10, 2018 at the Ogallala Community Hospital. Rose Marie was born on January 14, 1937 in Sidney to Chester and Catherine (Trienan) Phelps. She attended school in Lorenzo, NE until the family moved to Kimball where she graduated from Kimball High school in 1955. She worked for Ideal Market, Safeway and First State Bank of Kimball. Rose Marie married James L. Jackson in Kimball in February 1956 and to that union two boys were born; James and Michael. On July 16, 1976 she married Roger 'Andy' Anderson in Las Vegas Nevada, Making their home in Saratoga Wyoming where she worked at the Old Baldy Club until moving to the Greeley, Colorado area where she worked for Wells Fargo until retiring in 2003. Over the years Rose Marie and Roger had a cabin at Van's Lake McConaughy and in 2006 they built their home at Vans Lakeview. Rose Marie loved life, her family and her friends, she loved to play cards and games with her friends, refinish antique furniture that she collected and 3:00 pm happy hour with the Gang. Survivors include her Husband, two sons James (Deb) Jackson of Norton KS, Michael (Heidi) Jackson of Gering, one brother Vincent (Linda)Phelps of Brighton Colorado, one sister Patty (Butch) Nesbitt of Buckcanon West Virginia, a sister in law Myrna (Bob) Fish of Kearney, five grandchildren, one great grand daughter and three great grandsons. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be Saturday March 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Draucker Funeral home with Father Bryan Ernest of the St. Luke's Catholic Church officiating. The family has chosen cremation. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell. A memorial has been established in her memory to the Gift of Hope Cancer Foundation P.O.
