Rodney Jensen Obituary Rodney W. Jensen, age 84, of Ogallala, passed away, Monday, September 7, 2020 at the Perkins County Hospital in Grant. Rodney was born April 17, 1936 to Ove and Tressie (Miller) Jensen in Lexington, Nebraska. Rod moved to Ogallala as a young child, graduating from Ogallala High School in 1954. He attended Trinidad Jr. College in Trinidad, CO for gun smithing. On August 13, 1956, he was united in marriage to Patricia Louise Hardwick at the St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala. The couple moved to Fargo, ND to work for a sporting goods store and returned to Ogallala shortly after. Both Pat and Rod worked for Goodall, and then later, TRW. Rod retired from TRW in 1988 then went to work for Charles Industries in the 1990's for a short time. Rod loved to hunt, fish and shooting sports. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat and his parents. Rod is survived by 2 sons; Jeff (Kadi) Jensen, of Brule; Perry (Tammi) Jensen, of Farmington, NM; 1 sister, Marilyn Vickers, of Seattle, WA; and a grandson, Danrick (Betty) Davis, of Columbia, SC. A register book signing will be held, Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 9:00 a.m-5:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. in the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 11, 2020 at the Ogallala Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Perkins County Hospital.
