Roberta Hartman Obituary Roberta Hartman, age 82, of Ogallala, passed away, Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the Ogallala Community Hospital. Roberta was born January 28, 1937 in Imperial, Nebraska to Samuel and Merna (Wheeler) Phillips. She attended Chase County Public Schools. Roberta worked at various restaurants when she was younger. In 1965, she was united in marriage to Ed Hartman and the two of them made their home in North Platte. In 1969 they moved to Ogallala where she worked for Ogallala Public Schools. In 1971 the Union '76 Truck Stop opened and she managed the restaurant and retired in 1998. Roberta and her family were active with Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts for over 20 years. Some of her hobbies included, fishing, gardening and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; 1 son, Kim; her parents; 1 brother, Dick Phillips; and 1 grandson, Jason Brockman. Roberta is survived by 5 sons, David Burtis, of Indiana; Randy (Sandy) Burtis, of Alliance, NE; Rex (Laurie) Burtis, of Sioux Falls, SD; Rickey Hartman, of San Juan Island, WA; Randy (Amy) Hartman, of Colorado Springs, CO; 2 daughters, Jean (Wendell) Koppold, of Ogallala; Tammy Brockman, of Bellingham, WA; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019, in the Draucker Funeral Chapel with Rev. Chuck Rager of United Methodist Church in Ogallala officiating. Interment of the Cremains will be held at a later date in the Ogallala Cemetery.
