Roberta 'Bert' Vieyra Obituary Roberta 'Bert' A. Vieyra, age 82, of Sutherland, NE, passed away, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Great Plains Health in North Platte, NE. Roberta was born November 7, 1938 in Rural Perkins County to Edward Adolph and Anna Maria (Dittmer) Stickley. She went to school in Perkins County and graduated Perkins County High School in 1957. On December 21, 1957 she was united in marriage to Richard Jones at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grant. They made their home in Ogallala where they lived until they divorced in 1978. Roberta worked for TRW for 25 years. In 1985 she married Roy Vieyra, making their home in North Platte, NE. While living in North Platte she worked at the North Platte Public School as a lunch lady. She retired in May of 2017. In 2019 she moved to the Sutherland Care Center due to health. Roberta is survived by 2 sons; Kyle (Colleen) Jones, of Ogallala; Brad Jones, of Fort Collins, CO; 3 daughters; Machell (Don) Arnold, of Ogallala, NE; Christine (Chip) Volcek, of Lincoln, NE; Stacie Jones, of North Platte; 1 sister, Lorrie Christensen, of Big Springs, NE; a sister-in-law, Shirley Stickley, of Ogallala; 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by; her parents; 3 brothers; Richard, Jerry and Kenny Stickley; and first husband, Richard Jones. A visitation will be held, Friday, March 5, 2021 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. (M.T.) at the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala, NE. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. (C.T.) Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in North Platte with Rev. Daniel Ramsey officiating. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. (M.T.), Saturday, March 6, 2021 in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Pick officiating. A memorial has been established to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Ogallala in her name. COVID-19 precautions are still being followed and masks are recommended.
