Robert 'Bob' Clarence Hood

Robert 'Bob' Hood Obituary Robert 'Bob' Clarence Hood age 69, of Lincoln, passed away on October 17, 2018 at his home in Lincoln. Bob was born on April 11, 1949 to Thomas 'Blondie' and Esther (Sanders) Hood in Ogallala, NE. He attended Ogallala High School and graduated in 1968. In 1970 he married Connie Johnston at St. Paul's Lutheran church in Ogallala. Bob grew up working beside his father, Blondie at the Plumber farm, and in high school he worked at the Standard station along the interstate, also working for Duane Landes on the Landes Ranch south of Arthur. After graduating high school, Bob and Mike Rozmerick did some custom haying in Grant and Arthur county for local ranches. In 1969 he went to work for Dick Easley at the Ogallala Community Hospital. Bob followed Dick to Health Central in Lincoln in 1980, then the two of them went to Mutual of Omaha in 1988 in Omaha. After spending almost 20 years in Omaha, Bob went to work for Avera Health in Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 2006. He retired in 2017 moving back to Lincoln with his wife, Connie. In his free time he liked hunting, fishing, and rooting for the Nebraska Huskers. Bob is survived by his loving spouse, Connie of Lincoln, 3 sons, Rob (Colleen) Hood of Lakeside, NE, Jason (Nuria) Hood of Spain, Randy (Lindsay) Hood of Lincoln, 5 grandchildren, Baily Hood, Macala Hood, Bobbie Hood, TJ Hood and Kylie Hood, and 1 brother Wayne (Peggy) Hood of Rock Springs, WY. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday November 17, 2018 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor John Stubenrouch officiating. Online condolences may be given by signing the Guest Book. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations for the Alliance and North Star High School Booster Clubs.
