Paul Cartwright Obituary Paul W. Cartwright, age 84, of Paxton, passed away, Monday, January 25, 2021 at the Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland, NE after a 2 year battle with lung cancer. Paul was born on July 9, 1936 to Paul D. and Edith (McCulley) Cartwright in El Dorado, KS. He lived many places in Nebraska, his last home being in Paxton. He did many jobs, his last was fixing fishing rods and reels out of his home business. Paul was District Governor for District L Lions Club from 1999-2000. Paul is survived by his wife; Laura, of Paxton and their 2 dogs, Pepper and Achilles; son, J.D. (Michelle) Cartwright and their children, Jayden and Stevie, of Ogallala; stepdaughters; Amanda (Micheal) Myers, of North Platte and their fur babies, Bonnie, Squeak and Rajah; Kami (Travis) Schmitz and their children, Jelissa, Jaycie, Jaydin, Jersi and Jagger, of Omaha; 2 sisters; Judy Kinzie, of North Carolina; Connie Smotherman, of Georgia; and many nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dolly Policky and step-daughter, Colleen Lower. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the United Methodist Church in Paxton with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating.
