Paul Alexander Sanchez

April 25, 1943 — April 19, 2015

Paul Sanchez, 71, longtime Brule resident, entered into eternal life on Sunday, April 19, 2015, in the Ogallala Community Hospital. Paul was born April 25, 1943 in Alliance, NE, the son of Paul and Verna (Boyer) Sanchez. He attended Alliance schools, graduating from high school in 1962. Paul was employed as a line technician for TRW/ASC for fifty two years. He was currently employed there, having impeccable attendance. On July 19, 1982 Paul married MaryBeth Seeger and the couple resided in Ogallala, later moving to Brule. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, taking care of the lawn and garden, and woodworking. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Paul never knew a stranger. Paul was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church of Brule where he served as financial secretary. Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Angelo Sanchez and Michael Sanchez, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Harold and Eloise Seeger. Survivors include his wife MaryBeth Sanchez of Brule; his children: Julee (Donnie) Dethlefs of Ogallala; Johnette Fortune of Marysville, CA; Paul (Susan) Wood of Ogallala; Jill (Chris) Markussen of Keystone; Tony Sanchez of Castle Rock, CO; and Michelle Navarro of Denver, CO. Also twenty grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Four brothers: Louis (Verna) Sanchez and Manuel (Tina) Sanchez, all of Alliance; Arthur (Priscilla) Sanchez of Carson, CA; and Joe (Angie) Sanchez of Sacramento, CA. Three sisters: Yvonne (Mark) Robertson and Lisa (Bruce) Kittleman, all of Alliance; and Maria Nelle of Ft. Dodge, IA. Honorary Family: Greg, Shirley, Maddie & LilyBeth Jirik. Sisters-in-law & Brothers-in-law: Joan (Keith) Kennedy of Lincoln and Ervin (Pia) Seeger of Federal Way, WA and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be Thursday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Draucker Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on both days from 4 to 6 p.m. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 25, at 10:30 a.m. in the Brule St. Johns Lutheran Church with Rev. Jon Dickmander officiating. Interment is in the Brule Cemetery. A memorial has been established to St. Johns Lutheran Church.
