Patricia Ballentine Obituary Patricia 'Pat' Ballentine age 84 of Ogallala died Wednesday June 27th, 2018, at Indian Hills Healthcare Community. Pat was born on January 30, 1934 in Oshkosh to Monte Ray and Cecil 'Peg' Gwendoleen (Woolery) Smith. She attended and graduated school at Oshkosh. After graduation she married Laverne Olson and from this union 3 children were born. Pat lived in Spring Valley, CA and Napa Valley CA. raising her children before coming back to Oshkosh and then Ogallala, where she met the love of her life Ray Ballentine. The couple was married on June 16, 1989 in Julesburg, CO. The couple just celebrated 29 years of marriage. Pat enjoyed working at Ben Franklins for Diane Adkins for many years before retiring. She always loved doing crafts of all kinds, decorating her home and cooking for her family and loved ones. She will always be well known to her loved ones for sharing her many delightful dishes. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her son Gregg Olson of Scottsbluff. Survivors include her husband Ray Ballentine of Ogallala, 2 daughters, Marla (Lonnie) Peters and Dawn Olson both of Ogallala, 4 step children Trent Ballentine of Texas, Tonya (Robb) Meier of Malmo, Casey (Renee) Ballentine, Caley (Brian) Cornelius all of Omaha, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, 2 brothers Richard 'Dick' Smith of Loveland, CO; Mike (Beth) Smith of Pendleton, OR; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, July 1, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Draucker Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday July 2, 2018 in the Draucker Funeral Home, with Rev Lisa Hadler of the United Church of Christ First Congregational officiating. Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory. Condolences may be sent by signing the Guest Book. The service will be live streamed.
