Patricia Pierce Obituary Patricia 'Pat' Ann Pierce, age 76, longtime Ogallala resident, passed away Monday, April 22, 2019, at the Ogallala Community Hospital with her family by her side. Patricia Ann Pierce was born January 17, 1943, in Garden City, Kansas to Leo and Margaret Deines. Pat married the love of her life, David 'Buck' Pierce in Cheyenne, Wyoming on December 28, 1962. The couple made their home in Ogallala, except for 8 years when they lived in Wichita, Kansas with their four children. She worked at TRW in Ogallala for many years, and in her later years she worked at US Aprons as a seamstress and part-time at Virg's Caf in Brule as a waitress. More recently she worked at Comfort Inn as a breakfast hostess and worked in the gift shop. Pat enjoyed talking to people from all over the world and watching the game show network with her grandchildren. Pat's hobbies included; find a word puzzles, bingo, and vacationing. No matter where you would see Pat, she would always greet you with an infectious smile and open arms. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buck; and her parents. Pat is survived by 2 daughters; Milissa (Chuck) Ellis, of Ogallala; Kris (Todd) Hughes, of Hope Hull, Alabama; 2 sons; David Pierce, of Minatare, NE; John Pierce, of Ogallala; 1 sister; Betty (RB) Flynn, of Whichita, Kansas; 9 grandchildren; Jacob Pierce, of Chicago, Illinois; Jordan (Katie) Pierce, of Wellington, Colorado; Thomas Pierce; Nicole Pierce; Amber (Stevie) Iske; Dustin Ellis; Michael (Alisha) Ellis, all of Ogallala; Kara (Max) Pollmann, of Culbertson, Nebraska; Cody (Kim) Hughes of Cheyenne, Wyoming; 14 great-grandchildren; special friend Mary (Gary) Finn, of North Platte, Nebraska; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2019 from the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala, with Rev. Chuck Rager of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment of the cremains will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Ogallala Volunteer Ambulance Squad.
