Mary Paige Cady

Mary Cady Obituary Mary Paige Cady, age 88, formerly of Lewellen, NE, passed away, Saturday, December 19, 2020 at her home in Louisville, Colorado. Paige was born on October 21, 1932 to Nerva (Brunt) and Joseph (Bud) Roberts on a small farm, 3 miles west of Lewellen, NE and attended rural school. She married Frank Cady on February 26, 1949 and had two children, Rexene and Barbara. Paige worked for Goodall Elecric and TRW in Ogallala before moving to Colorado to work for the Boulder County Public Health as an Office Manager. She was promoted to Budget Analyst for the Health Department and worked there for 38 years. Paige enjoyed her career and life in Colorado, but Ogallala and Lewellen were areas of true joy to her and she would return here whenever she could. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends in the area whenever possible as well as staying at her home at Lake McConaughy. Paige is survived by her son-in-law, Dennis Schilz, of Lemoyne; grandchildren; Ken (Deb) Schilz; Steve (Amy) Schilz, all of Ogallala; Kristene and Ryan Orbus, of Brighton, CO; Keith and Chong Mi Hayford, of Louisville, CO; Kyle and Nicole Hayford of Florence, AZ; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Elizabeth Schilz; Ethan and Aiden Schilz; Gavin and Jeremy Orbus; Shane (Natalie) Hayford, Joe Hayford; Ashlyn and Emily Hayford; nieces; Marilyn McCourt and Pam Spurgin; and nephews; Bill Armstrong, Martin Armstrong, Richard Roberts, and Jerry Roberts. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents; daughters, Rexene Schilz and Barbara Hayford; her brother and his wife, Jack and Evelyn Roberts; her sister and her husband, Elaine and Bud Armstrong; niece, Diane Roberts Fricke; and nephews, Raymond Roberts, Vance Armstrong, and Doug Fricke. A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 8, 2021 at the St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 8, 2021 at the St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala with Father Bryan Ernest officiating. Interment of the cremains will be held at the Ash Hollow Cemetery in Lewellen, Nebraska. A memorial has been established to the Lemoyne Senior Center in her name.
