Mary Hulslander

Mary Hulslander, 87, of Ogallala, died Thursday, August 11, 2016, at Indian Hills Healthcare Community. Mary was born December 3, 1928 in Seibert, CO, the daughter of George and Helena (Krukow) Grauburger. She graduated from Fleming Colorado High School. In 1948 Mary was united in marriage to Merritt Hulslander and they made their home in the Sterling and Fleming, Colorado area. Mary was employed as a cook at the Broadway Cafe and Northeastern Junior College until she moved to Ogallala in 1990. She then became a caretaker doing private home health care, retiring in 2008. Mary's hobbies included playing cards and bingo, quilting, and bowling. She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church. Preceding her in death were three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her children: Linda (Mark) Nelsen of Ogallala, Jackilyn Norris of New Mexico, and Gilbert (Marilyn) Hulslander of Australia; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many special friends and other relatives. The family chose cremation. The Memorial Service will be Tuesday, August 16, at 10 a.m. in St. Pauls Lutheran Church with Rev. John Stubenrouch officiating.
