Lila Ann Johnson

Lila Ann Johnson, 66, of North Platte and formerly of Paxton, died Thursday, May 12, 2016, in the North Platte Care Center. She was born October 23, 1949 in Great Bend, Kan. to Nova Alderson (Stamey-Medearis) and Don Stamey. She graduated from Paradise High School, Paradise, Kan. in 1968. She married Tedd Lavern Johnson on October 5, 1969. Most of her married life was spent in rural Paxton, Neb. until moving to North Platte with Tedd in 2011. She was a devoted mom, grandmother, aunt, sister, homemaker and farm wife, and friend. She was also a housekeeper and waitress, a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, and served many years as a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is well known for her humor, generous spirit and for caring for others. Survivors include her husband Tedd Johnson of North Platte, her son Shane (Amanda) Johnson of Benkelman, two daughters Shawne Johnson of Papillion and Bonita Johnson (Jim Jefferson) of Searsmont, Maine; four grandchildren: Judson, Jackson, Chloe, and Isabella; and two sisters: Connie Eulert of Russell, Kan. and Pam Hermann of Aurora, Colo. Memorial Services will be Thursday, June 16, at 10 a.m. MDT in the Paxton Trinity Lutheran Church with JA Welsh officiating. All are invited for fellowship immediately following the service at the Paxton Community Center. Inurnment will be on Friday, June 17, at 10:30 a.m. CDT in Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell, Nebr. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, charitable donations be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and the Fisher House Foundation.
