LeeAnn Hinrichs, 88, of Brule, Nebraska, died Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Advent Health in Parker, Colorado.
LeeAnn was born on May 11, 1936, to Newell and Nelda (Bliss) Dalton in Moab, UT, where she graduated from Grand County High School. She went on to Nursing School in Salt Lake City, UT.
She moved to Hastings, NE to work for Mary Lanning Hospital, where she met her husband Harold E. Hinrichs and they were married on August 15, 1957, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. They returned to Moab, UT, and made their home there until 1960 when they moved to Brule, NE where LeeAnn went to work for Ogallala Community Hospital. She went on to work for Banner Home Health Care and later retired.
LeeAnn was a member of the Brule Ambulance Squad.
LeeAnn is preceded in death by her husband Harold; a son, Gary Hinrichs; two daughters, Gayle Hinrichs and Susan Mercer; brother, Ned Dalton; great-grandchild, Bently Hinrichs and a niece, Laura Randall.
She is survived by two sons, Albert Hinrichs of Centennial, CO, and Cecil (Ann Heflin) Hinrichs of Ogallala, NE; sister, LaVern Gustofson of Seaside, OR; sister-in-law Betty Dalton of Moab, UT; two daughter-in-law’s, Lynda Hinrichs, and Wendy Hinrichs; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Brule, NE.
A Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Jon Dickmander Officiating.
The interment will be in the Brule Cemetery, Brule, NE.
A memorial has been established for St. John’s Lutheran Church in LeeAnn’s Memory.
