John Keith Rambat

John K. Rambat, 93, of Keystone, NE, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Indian Hills Manor, in Ogallala.

John was born on April 4, 1933, to William and Ella (Peters) Rambat.

John was raised in Bird City, Kansas. He graduated from Bird City Rural High School in 1952. Joh Served in the US Army from 1954-1956. He farmed in the Bird City area before and after his time in the Army. He moved to Colorado for a period of time and moved to Keystone, NE in 1990. He worked in construction in the area before retiring.

John was preceded in death by parents, William and Ella Rambat, brother, Howard, brother-in-law, H. David Zerfas, nephew, Kenneth Machens and great niece, Magdalena Machens.

He is survived by his sister, Connie Zerfas, nephews, David, Robert and William Zerfas, niece, Carolyn Machens, 7 great nephews and nieces and many cousins and friends.

Joh was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ogallala.

Memorial services and inurnment of ashes will be at a later date in Bird City, Kansas.
