John Leder Obituary John A. Leder, age 61, of Big Springs, passed away, Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne, WY. John was born November 5, 1957 to Robert and Nancy (French) Leder in Lewellen, NE. He attended school at District 80 in Big Springs, NE, graduating from Big Springs High School in 1975. After graduating High School, John joined the Air Force on October 29, 1975. He spent time in Texas, South Carolina and Frankfurt, Germany. On September 1, 1978, he was discharged from the Air Force. John attended Western Vo Tech College in Sidney, NE. He returned to Big Springs where he married Deborah Berges in Big Springs. Making there home in Big Springs he worked for Grace Land & Cattle for many years. He also worked for Rocky Rochlitz and Big Springs Co-Op In 2004, he went to work for Town and Country Firestone in Ogallala, until 2018, retiring for health reasons. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Deborah in 2002. John is survived by 1 son, Robert 'Bob' Leder; 1 brother, Robert 'Craig' Leder both of Longmont, CO; 1 Great-Aunt, Shirley Pierce of Higgins, TX; and 1 Great-Uncle, Roy Yanagida of Lincoln. Due to weather, the family has moved Memorial Services for John Leder from Saturday, March 2, 2019, to Saturday March 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church in Big Springs , with Rev. Trenton Christensen officiating. Inurnment will be in the Big Springs Cemetery. Military Honors by the Keith County Veterans Organization honor guard. A memorial has been established in his memory to the Zion Lutheran Church. Services will be live streamed.
