Jody Lynn Dehning

Jody Lynn Dehning, 54, of Ogallala, died Monday, November 11, 2013, in the Ogallala Community Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Jody was born January 3, 1959 in Julesburg, Colorado. the daughter of Raymond and Ruth (Ash) Andersen. Jody graduated from high school in Julesburg in 1978. Jody was employed at Sunmart in Ogallala for sixteen years and did various odd jobs. Her hobbies included making cake pops, embroidering, going to concerts and country music. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Preceding her in death was an infant son Justin and a nephew Dan Andersen. The family chose cremation. There will be no visitation. The memorial service will be Monday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m. in the Ogallala First United Methodist Church with Rev. Chuck Rager officiating. Inurnment is in the Hillside Cemetery in Julesburg, Colo. at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Jayne Richter, 1510 East 8th Street, Ogallala, NE 69153. Survivors include her children Thomas Benner of Longmont, Colo. and Anna Dehning of Tulsa, Okl. ; her parents Raymond and Ruth Andersen of Julesburg, Colo.; three brothers: Steve(Nancy) Andersen of Phoenix, Ariz., Greg Andersen of Julesburg, Colo., and John Andersen of Broomfield, Colo.; and three sisters: Janet Kipp of Sterling, Colo., Jayne (Dave) Richter of Ogallala, and Susan (Mike) Salyards of Haxtun, Colo.; one granddaughter June Steel of Tulsa, Okl; and special friend Ray Duncan of Ogallala and several nieces and nephews.
