Jeannette Waterman Obituary .Jeannette I. Waterman, age 64, of Ogallala, passed away, Thursday, November 19, 2020 at her home in Ogallala. Jeannette was born January 10, 1956 to William and Katherine (Strong) Kohler in North Platte, NE. Jeannette went to school in Ogallala and graduated from Ogallala High School in 1974. In 1974 Jeannette married Lynn R. Hodges, Sr., making their home in Julesburg, CO where they farmed. They divorced in 1981 and she returned to Ogallala. She married George R. Elliott in 1984, making their home in Ogallala. He passed away in 1997. Jeannette worked at Indian Hills Manor and Paks for a number of years. In 2000, Jeannette married Eugene Waterman. She retired from Indian Hills in 2016 for health reasons. Jeannette loved to cook, bake, collect recipe books and going camping. Jeannette is survived by her husband, Eugene, of Ogallala; 2 sons; Lynn (Candace) Hodges, Jr., of Chappell, NE; David (Carol) Waterman, of Ogallala; 3 daughters; Shana (Bryan) Martin, of Weldona; Tamantha (Rick) Gage, of Roscoe; Michelle (Cliff) Joyce, of Jacksonville, FL; 4 brothers; Bobby (Joyce) Kohler, of North Platte; Jerry Kohler, of Kearney, NE; Dennis (Barb) Kohler, of North Platte; Danny (Terri) Kohler, of Acworth, GA; 1 sister, Mary Alice (Rodney) Nickel, of Windom, MN; a sister-in-law, Janice Kohler, of Lincoln; 9 grandchildren; Randy (Jaime) Gage; Tracey Hodges; Gunnar Hodges and Oakley Hodges, all of Chappell; Jonathan (Amanda) Martin, of Weldona, CO; Jessica (Cody) Pineda, of Allenspark, CO; Bodie Runnels, of Jacksonville, FL; Caitlyn, Chloe and Matthew Waterman, all of Ogallala; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her second husband, George Elliot; her parents; 2 brothers; Richard Kohler and Kenneth Kohler; and 2 grandsons; Trevor Lee Hodges and Shayden Lynn Hodges. A memorial has been established to the Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala in her memory. A register book signing will be held, Monday, November 30, 2020, from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in the Ogallala Cemetery with Rev. Curtis Tschetter of the Gracepoint church in Ogallala officiating.
