Jean Keep, 88, longtime Ogallala resident, died Sunday, December 7, 2014, in Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant. Survivors include her son Rex (Carolyn) Keep of Edwards, Colo.; and three daughters: Leah Schow of Paxton, Michelle "Mikki" (Mark) Lautenschlager of Loveland, Colo., and Lisa (Tad) Gray of Valley City, Ohio. Three brothers: Wayne Simmerman and Harlan (Kay) Simmerman, all of Elm Creek; and Dick (Myrtle) Simmerman of Overton; and a sister Ardis Refior of Elm Creek. Also nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family chose cremation with no visitation. A memorial service will be scheduled in January.
