Irl Cole, 77, longtime Brule resident, died Wednesday, July 24, 2013, in Denver Health Medical Center. Irl Darlene Cole was born October 22, 1935 in Ogallala, the daughter of Howard and Lena (Harms) Dresslar. She was raised on the family farm near Brule and graduated from Brule High School in 1953. On April 28, 1957, she married the love of her life, Clayton Cole. They made their home on the family farm northwest of Brule. Irl attended New Hope Church. She enjoyed homemaking and helping on the farm. Survivors include her children: Kevin (Tammy) Cole of Brule; Kyle (Sherry) Cole of North Platte; and Carol Yerdon of Cape Coral, Flo. A sister Arlene Elmshaeuser of Ogallala and brother-in-law Lawrence Smith of Houston, Tex. Also two grandsons Korey Cole and Cody (Michelle) Cole and four granddaughters Alexis Cole, Heather Yerdon, Kallan Cole, and Alyssa Cole; and two great-grandchildren Bryson and Braelynn Cole, several nieces and nephews and a host of lifelong friends and relatives. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, two sisters: Alice Russell and Karen Smith, and an infant granddaughter Mary. There will be no viewing, but friends may pay their respects and sign the register book on Sunday, July 28, from 1 to 5 p.m. in Draucker Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Monday, July 29, at 10 a.m. in New Hope Worship Center with Rev. Eric Wait officiating. The casket will be closed at the Church.
