Irene V. Stierwalt

Irene V. Stierwalt, 55, of Ogallala, died November 17, 2015, in Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Irene was born July 26, 1960 in Warsaw, New York, the daughter of August and Joyce (Easterly) Gerwitz. She attended schools in Warsaw. She married Earl Wray, Sr. in New York and they later divorced. She moved to Lincoln in 1983 and worked various jobs. Irene married Brad Stierwalt in Lincoln and they later divorced. She moved to Ogallala in 2014. Survivors include her children: Earl (Leslie) Wray and Joyce Wray, all of Ogallala; two sisters Alice Dillie and Pat Gray, and two brothers Robert (Ashley) Jock and Freman (Tracy) Jock, all of Jamestown, New York. Fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Preceding her in death was her parents and her brother August Gerwitz. The family chose cremation. The memorial service will be Friday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. in Draucker Funeral Home where the service was streamed live for those unable to attend. Josh Wray of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will officiate. A memorial has been established in her memory. Online Condolences may be sent to drauckerfuneralhome.com.
