Glenn (Bronco) Merle Gager

1961 — May 28, 2025

Lemoyne

Glenn “Bronco” Gager went peacefully to be with the lord on Wednesday, May 28th at his home in Lemoyne, Nebraska.

Glenn was born on June 20, 1961, in Phillipsburg, Kansas to Eldon and Betty Gager. Early in his life, they moved to Ogallala where he attended Ogallala High School and remained in the area throughout the rest of his life.

Bronco had many passions and was known for his ability to bring broken things back to life. He spent his days in his shop doing everything from restoring old cars, to coffee in the mornings with the guys and throwing a pretty mean Husker Football Party. He was always down for a night of karaoke, traveling to the nearest casino or packing up to spend the week in Sturgis. If he wasn’t found doing these things, he was either fishing or traveling to a car show.

Bronco joined the Keystone Lemoyne Fire Department in 2007 and was actively involved until his death. He was a valued member of the department and held many positions throughout his service.

Beyond his technical skills and hobbies, he was a loving husband to his wife, Laurie and a loving father to his sons Hagen of Lemoyne and Coy and families of Ogallala. He is also survived by his stepsons, Brian Canning and family of Ogallala and Toby Barnt and family of South Bend.

Bronco is also survived by his sister, Dawn Stewart of Plattsmouth, stepmother, Shirley Gager of Imperial, mother-in-law Beverly Loomis of Oshkosh, brother-in-law Chuck Loomis and family of Oshkosh, many nieces and nephews and too many close friends to list.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eldon Gager and Better Gager, his father-in-law, Dorwin Loomis and his grandparents.

The family will hold a celebration of life service in memory of Bronco on Sunday, June 8th,2025 at Willow & Oak Events in Ogallala. The Keystone Lemoyne Fire Department honors will be performed at 4:00 pm with an open house to follow until 7:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Keystone Lemoyne Fire Department in Bronco’s memory and to the Perkins County Animal Shelter.

In honor of Bronco’s love for classic cars and motorcycles, we invite you to drive your vintage car or motorcycle to the service, if the weather permits.

Condolences can be left by going to www.drauckerfh.com.
