Gerald Lee Pounds, 83, of Ogallala, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Indian Hills Healthcare. Gerald was born November 5, 1933 in Ogallala, the son of Dewey B. and Florence (Boss) Pounds. Gerald graduated from Ogallala High School in 1953. He attended Contra Costa College in Richmond, CA. He then moved to San Francisco and was employed by Wells Fargo as an accountant for twenty one years. In 1988 he retired and in 1989 moved to Napa, Idaho. Gerald has been an Ogallala resident since 1999. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister Sharon Schrick, and five brothers: Floyd 'Buster', Robert, Keith, Donald, and Ronald. Survivors include his brother Dennis Pounds of Richmond, CA and other relatives. Cremation was chosen. The memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1206 N. Spruce, Ogallala. Elder Bob Randall will officiate.
