George Sheets Obituary George Ray Sheets, 92, of Ogallala, passed away on March 27, 2022 at Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala, Nebraska. He was born on October 8, 1929 to George and Ruby Sheets in Kentucky. On July 4th, 1957 he and Shirley P. Olsen were united in marriage. George worked in the construction industry and was a crane operator and a member of local 9 in Denver, Colorado for 75 years, finally retiring in 1991. After retiring he moved to Lewellen, Nebraska where George enjoyed gardening. George is survived by his three sons, Chris Sheets and Ken Sheets both of Lewellen, Nebraska and Russ Meyers of Arriba, Colorado; one granddaughter Jena Sheets of LeSueur, Minnesota; also, numerous great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Sheets; his parents; one son, Donald Sheets and two daughters Kathy Lynn Sheets and Nancy Sheets. No services are planned at this time.
