Dorothy Ellingrod Obituary Dorothy Jean Ellingrod, 80 of North Platte NE, formerly of Arthur, NE, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 5, 2023, at North Platte Care Center. Dorothy was born November 5th, 1943, in Torrington, WY, to George and Edna (Lum) Miller. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School and went on to Nursing school in Lincoln, NE. Upon graduating from nursing school and earning her degree as an LPN, she met her husband, George Robert Ellingrod. Dorothy and Robert settled down on the family ranch in Arthur, NE, and began a life together. To this union two daughters were born, Vikki Lea Ellingrod and Mitzi Lynn Ellingrod. Dorothy was a full-time mom and housewife and worked alongside Robert as a Ranch Hand. Dorothy lost her husband Robert in 1996. She remained on the ranch and worked in Arthur at Chuckwagon Meats. In 1999 she moved to North Platte, NE, and went back to Nursing School at Mid-Plains Community College. She was employed at Great Plains Medical Center in North Platte for 13 years until she retired. Dorothy enjoyed going to garage sales and collecting Coca-Cola Memorabilia. In 2016 Dorothy moved to the North Platte Care Center until the time of her death. She is survived by her two daughters, Vikki (Jesse) Davis and Mitzi Goodman. Along with several Nieces and Nephews, Terry (Cheri) Enfield, Corlyus (Mike) Treffer, Randy (Loyce) Ellingrod, Holly (Ed) Tullis, and Ruth (Mike) Perry She is proceeded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, her brother-in-law John Bud Ellingrod and sister-in-law Dorothy Mae Enfield Visitation will be Thursday, November 9th, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Draucker Funeral Home Chapel, with the family greeting friends from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held Friday, November 10th, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. in the Arthur Cemetery in Arthur, NE; Rev. Blake Wilkes will be officiating. In Lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Arthur Betterment Authority. Condolences may be left at www.drauckerfh.com. Draucker Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
