Doris Mae (Wilson) Morris, age 93, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Indian Hills Manor in Ogallala, NE.
Doris was born on June 15, 1931, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
She was united in marriage to Andrew J.B. Morris on October 20, 1951. The couple raised their family in Nebraska, primarily in Ogallala and Oshkosh.
In addition to raising their six children (Dianna, Bobbi Jo, Roxanne, Monte, Andrea, and Stephanie), Dorris spent much of her younger adult life doing ranch work alongside her husband. They both spent their final working years employed at Marshalltown in Oshkosh, Nebraska, which is where they lived into their retirement years, enjoying playing cribbage and golf together up until Andy’s death.
At the time, Doris moved to North Platte to live near her daughters.
Doris was a stubborn, spunky lady with an ornery sense of humor. She loved fishing, golfing, and her kitty cat Callie. She was loved, and she will be missed dearly.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Dianna Rohrick of Roscoe, NE., and Roxanne (Bruce) Hartzog of Ogallala, NE, Andrea Morris, and Stephanie Wright; brother Gene (Phyllis) Wilson of Georgia; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Morris; her son, Monte Morris; her daughter Bobbi Jo Marble; two brothers, Kenny Wilson and Leroy Wilson; and her grandson, Dustin Marble.
No services are pending.
