Donna Stahl Obituary Donna D. Stahl, age 85, of Paxton, NE, passed away, Thursday, April 30, 2020, at the Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland, Nebraska. Donna was born November 16, 1934 to George and Marie (Sass) Shelton in Omaha, Nebraska. She was later adopted by Walter Suhr. Donna attended school in Ogallala until the family moved to Paxton. She graduated from Paxton High School with the class of 1954. She worked many jobs within the city of Ogallala including; the First National Bank, Keith County Bank and J.C. Penney, making many friends while there. Donna was united in marriage to Verlyn Stahl on May 25, 1956. The couple was blessed with two sons, Michael and Steven. They spent their time together in Paxton. She also worked for the Paxton School System during this time until she retired. She and Verlyn enjoyed motorcycle trips and taking Steven to Denver for vacation. She was preceded in death by her husband, Verlyn; her 2 sons, Michael and Steven; her parents, Walter and Marie Suhr; 3 brothers, Donald, Marvin and Eddie; and 1 brother-in-law, Chuck Hartman. Donna is survived by 3 sisters; Doris (Darrell) Farnsworth, of Venango; Marlene (Leo) Griffiths; Bonnie (Bill) Wendland, all of Paxton; a sister-in-law, DeEtta Hartman, of Cozad; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held, Tuesday, May 5, 2020 from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. in the Draucker Funeral Home Chapel in Ogallala, with family greeting friends from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Due to the recent health concerns we will be following the mandated 10 people maximum rule. A private family graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2020 in the Paxton Cemetery with Pastor JA Welsh of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Paxton officiating. A memorial has been established to Paxton Public Schools and the Paxton Ambulance Squad.
