Charles Edwards Obituary Charles ' Charlie' J. Edwards, 42 of Ogallala passed away in his home on Thursday June 7, 2018. Charles was born on September 26, 1975 to Edwin and Loretta (Kuenle) Edwards in Eugene, Oregon. Charles attended school in Visalia and Exeter California until graduating in 1993. Charles worked for ASC as an assembly line worker. He had various jobs throughout his life including Mouls Modern Builders, Indian Hills Manor and Kildare Lumber. Charles joined the army in January 1994 and he was honorably discharged within the same year due to a medical condition. Charles moved to Ogallala in January 2003. His hobbies included bull riding as a young man, fishing, playing games, drinking beers with his friends and family, listening to music, visiting with people, and chasing storms with his nephew Jon. His Pride and joy was his daughter and his grandson. Charles was a True Blue Raiders Fan. Charles is preceded in death by his father Edwin 'Buck' Edwards, one sister Rhonda Searle and his grandparents Ed and Bertha Kuenle. Survivors include his Daughter Aleshia Edwards of North Platte, his mother Loretta Edwards of Ogallala, his sister Donna (Dave) Shafer of Roscoe, his brother Randy (Lia) Searle of Ogallala, his grandson Jonathan Charles Edwards of North Platte and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. The family has chosen cremation. A memorial service will be in the Draucker Funeral Home on Tuesday June 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with John Howe officiating. Casual Attire or Raiders gears is acceptable for the service. A memorial has been established in his name. Inurnment will be in the North Platte Cemetery at a later date.
