Bonnie Jean (Wiseman) Friesen, 85, of San Antonio, Tex., and formerly of Ogallala and Madrid, died Wednesday, December 4, 2013, in her home. Bonnie was born September 7, 1928 in Ogallala, the daughter of Berget and Tressie (Harris) Wiseman. Bonnie received her early education attending rural schools in Keith County. She graduated from Ogallala High School in 1947. On September 28, 1947 she was united in marriage to Claire Friesen. The couple resided on a farm near Madrid. Bonnie was employed at the JC Penney Store in Ogallala for nine years. She also lived in North Platte and later in Boerne, Texas. Bonnie moved to San Antonio in 2011 to be closer to family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Boerne. Her hobbies included making dolls and sewing. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and feeding birds and other wildlife. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, daughter Sherri Brown, and a grandchild. Survivors include two daughters: Vicki Lange of Natalia, Tex. and Kristi Savage of Sand Springs, OK. Also six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Draucker Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, December 11, at 10 a.m. in Draucker Funeral Home. Dr. Eugene Friesen of Green Valley, Ariz. will officiate. Interment is in the Ogallala Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory to the Kendall County Humane Society of Comfort, TX.
