Barbara Stephenson Obituary Barbara Jean Stephenson, 84, of Ogallala, passed away on April 19th, 2022 in Ogallala, Nebraska. Barbara was born on October 26,1937 in North Platte, Nebraska to August and Mary (Hollenbeck) Ackerman. She attended school at St. Patricks Catholic school in North Platte where she graduated in 1960. She then moved to California where she went to college and received her degree as a Registered Nurse and began her career in California. In 1965 she married Dwight Miner and the couple resided in Salinas, Ca and Barbara worked at Memorial hospital. She then moved to Sacramento, California. In 1985 she married Fred Stephenson, she than retired in 1986. Barbara came back to Nebraska and made a home in Madrid, Nebraska and then in 2015 she moved to Ogallala, Nebraska. Barbara had a heart of gold and was a very generous woman, she could be stubborn at times but was always there to help anyone who needed a hand. She enjoyed reading, baking, fishing, and loved being on her horses. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family. Barbara truly loved her family and they know now that she will be watching over them as their guardian angel. Barbara is survived by is survived by her three sons, Michael Allen Miner of Ogallala, NE, Chris Miner of Omaha, NE, Daniel Miner of Ogallala, NE; two daughters, Diane Miner of Ogallala, NE, Cheri Gaudern of Fruita, CA; two sisters, Marilyn Willard of Ogallala, NE, Pat Wilcox of Salt Lake City, UT; Five Brothers, Ron Ackerman of Lewellen, NE, Dennis Ackerman of Ogallala, NE, Bob Ackerman of LaGrange, CA, Larry Ackerman of Pocotello, ID, Benard Ackerman ; eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her husband Dwight Miner, parents August and Mary Ackerman and Granddaughter Katie. Cremation has been chosen by the family and services are pending at this time.
