Doris (Kiser) Bayer

Doris Bayer, 87, of Ogallala, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018, in the Ogallala Community Hospital.

Doris was born October 2, 1930 in Ogallala to George and Dorothy (Mahaffey) Kiser. She attended schools in Ogallala. 

On June 21, 1947, Doris married Lloyd Bayer at Kimball, Nebr. They resided in Ogallala where she was employed at Goodalls and TRW and later at American Shizuki. She retired in 2000. 

Her hobbies included bowling and traveling.

Preceding her in death were her parents and husband. Survivors include her children Floyd (Kathy) Bayer of Gering and Darlene Gorham of Ogallala; two sisters and one brother.; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 19, from 1 to 5 p.m. in Draucker Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m. in Draucker Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Rager of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Online condolences may be sent by signing the Guest Book.  The service will be live streamed, for those unable to attend. 

A memorial has been established to the First United Methodist Church. Interment is in the Ogallala Cemetery.
