Bernice Cora (Rieck) Bellows

Bernice C. Bellows, age 98, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on December 7, 2017 at the Bethany Nursing Home in Lakewood, Colorado.  . 
Bernice  was born August 13, 1919 in Primrose, NE to John and Cora (Rieck) Hughes. She attended school at Brule High School where she graduated in 1937. 

Bernice married Conrad Heimbegner in Sterling Co on July 27, 1940 making their home in the Sterling, Colorado area.  They then moved to Denver, Colorado where she raised her family. She was a manager of an electronic parts company. Bernice retired in 1986 and remained in the Denver area. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. 

Survivors include 2 sons Allan (Lanell) and Eugene (Linda) Heimbegner, 4 Daughters Sylvia (DeWayne) Shonk, Janet Battison, Patricia Keller and Diane Heimbegner. 1 sister Regina Cloninger. 11 Grandchildren 19 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Preceded in death by 3 brothers Virgil, Walter and Charles Hughes.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Olinger Crown Mortuary and Cemetery, Wheat Ridge, Colorado  . Funeral Services will be Friday, December 15 at 10:00 am from the Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace in Wheat Ridge, Colorado with Chaplain Winn O. Allison officiating.   Graveside services will be held Monday, December 18th, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brule Cemetery, Brule, NE with Rev. John Dickmander officiating.
