Irene M. (Bersley) Vian

Irene M. Vian, 84, longtime Ogallala resident, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 in the Ogallala Community Hospital.

Irene was born November 15, 1931 in Gandy, Nebr., the daughter of Clifford and Minnie (Joedeman) Bersley. She graduated from Logan County High School in 1950.

She resided in several states including California and Oregon and worked various jobs, moving to Ogallala in 1974. Irene was employed at TRW/ASC as a janitor, along with her son Raymond and daughter Susin. Later, she was employed at Indian Hills Manor as a cook.

Her hobbies included growing house plants and reading. Preceding her in death were her parents, son Raymond Vian, sister Anna Rothmiller, two brothers Charles Bersley and Dale Bersley, two infant brothers, granddaughter Sharon May, grandson-in-law Greg Fricke, and son-in-law Dan Donner.

Survivors include her children: Johnny (Chris) Vian of Ogallala, Marita Donner of Hampton, Angeleque (John) Untalan of Camarillo, Cal., and Susin (Dale) Pike of Oshkosh. One sister Maxine Preston of Arnold; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

The family chose cremation. The Memorial Service will be Saturday, Aug. 6, at 2 p.m. in Draucker Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Baldwin of the Paxton United Methodist Church will officiate.

The Service will be live streamed from drauckerfuneralhome.com, for those unable to attend.  Condolences may be sent by signing the Guest Book.. A memorial has been established to the Goodall City Library.
