OBITUARY
Robert Christiansen, 78, longtime Sarben resident, died February 22, 2008 in the
Sutherland Care Center.

Robert was born April 9, 1929 in Salt Lake City, UT, to Robert and Faye Carter Christiansen.
After graduating from Granite High School in 1945, Robert joined the Navy on October 1, 1946. He served in the South Pacific and was discharged on January 21, 1950. He returned to Salt Lake City where he met and married Luana Burrows on March 15, 1950.
The couple made their home in Utah.
Robert worked as a carpenter for various companies belonging to the Salt Lake City Carpenters' Union Local 184. In 1982 he began employment as a janitor for the church of Latter Day Saints. Robert retired in 1995.
In 1998 the Christiansens moved to Sarben. Robert's hobbies included gardening and fishing.
Preceding him in death was his wife Luana in 2002 and his son David Christiansen.
Survivors include two sons Kristen Christiansen and his wife Kaye of Paxton and James Christiansen and his wife Toni of Laguna Hills, CA; and two daughters Deborah and her husband Charley Fricke of Paxton and Shauna and her husband Joe Espinoza of Blaine, WA. One brother Calvin J. Christiansen and his wife Barbara of Salt Lake City, UT. Also 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen and there will be no visitation. Memorial Service will be Friday, March 7, at 10 a.m. at Draucker Funeral Chapel with Merrill Davis officiating.
Inurnment in Fort McPherson National Cemetery on March 7, at 2 p.m., Central Time. A memorial has been established to Paxton Public School.
