 OBITUARY

Pamela Dundee, 59, of Ogallala, died Feb. 4, 2008 at the Ogallala Community Hospital.

Pam was born July 14, 1948 in Indianapolis, IN., the daughter of Herbert and Edna Springler Daum. She moved with her family to New Jersey during her grade school years and then attended high school in Hebron, IL.

Pam met Wayne while both were working the student shift at the Admiral Television plant in Harvard, IL. They were married in 1966. Wayne worked a variety of different jobs and they moved frequently in the northern Illinois-southern Wisconsin state line area.

Pam was a stay-at-home mother and wife, working only briefly outside the home and occasionally doing baby sitting at her house. She loved children, animals (especially dogs and deer in the wild), old black and white movies, and romantic comedies.

Pam was totally devoted to her family and was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church. When grandchildren began arriving, she babysat for them and saw to their baptisms and teachings in the Catholic faith.

In 1998 Pam and Wayne moved to Ogallala when Wayne was transferred with Arnold Engineering Company.

Pam enjoyed the slower pace of the small town setting and also enjoyed vacationing and traveling to sights in the surrounding area.

In recent years Pam struggled with various health problems. She survived a bout with breast cancer in 2006. More recently she had respiratory problems. But she never lost her faith or stopped loving and caring for her family and was deeply loved in return. She will be missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brother Mike Daum.

Survivors include her husband Wayne Dundee and her daughter Michelle Thompson, both of Ogallala. One brother Albert Daum and his wife Donna of San Diego, CA. and four sisters: Mary and her husband Scott Slick of Indianapolis, IN; Rita Hellums of Moscow, IN; Amy Larsen and Elizabeth Daum, both of Long Beach, CA. Three grandchildren: Billy and Emily Mau and Riley Thompson all of Ogallala.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb 6, from 4 p.m. to the time of the Rosary-Wake Service at 7 p.m. at Draucker Funeral Home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, Feb. 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Lukes Catholic Church with Father Bryan Ernest the Celebrant.

Cremation will follow and inurnment will take place at a later date. A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
