OBITUARY

Curt Klemme, 63, longtime Big Springs resident, died Feb. 11, 2008 in the Sedgwick County Hospital in Julesburg, CO.

Curtis was born March 28, 1944 at Lewellen, NE., the son of Walter and Beulah Sheldon Klemme.

After Curt graduated from Big Springs High School in 1962 he attended Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, CO and graduated in 1965.

In 1967 Curt graduated from Colorado Teachers College in Greeley, CO. He taught school for several years and then returned to Big Springs to operate the family farm. He retired from farming in 2006.

Mr. Klemme enjoyed flying small aircraft, riding motorcycles, and watching car races.

Preceding him in death were her parents and a brother Kyle A. Klemme.

Survivors include his son Scott Klemme and his wife Kristie of Carmel, NY; and his daughter Michele and her husband Richard Ruge of Colorado Springs, CO. also five grandchildren: Kaylie & Caleb Klemme and Hannah, Marlee, & Ellie Ruge.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the Big Springs United Methodist Church. Rev. Bonnie McCord will officiate.

Inurnment in the Big Springs Cemetery.

Memorial has been established to the American Heart Association.
